All adult dogs adopted through Connecticut Lab Rescue Inc. are spayed/neutered (this does not apply to puppies or any dog that cannot be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption due to a medical condition, i.e.,heartworm treatment), heartworm tested, and vaccinated. Adopter agrees that any dog adopted that is not spayed or neutered due to age or health will have the dog spayed/neutered as soon as it is possible to do so, and will provide proof of spay/neuter to Connecticut Lab Rescue Inc.

We recommend an appointment with your own veterinarian within the first week of adoption for a health check.

IF, FOR ANY REASON, YOU CAN NO LONGER KEEP THE DOG, YOU MUST NOTIFY CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. Adoption donations are non-refundable if dog is returned after the two week trial period.

CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, OR INJURY DONE BY THE DOG ONCE THE OWNER TAKES POSSESSION AND OWNERSHIP OF THE DOG FROM CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. THIS INCLUDES THE TWO WEEK TRIAL PERIOD AND THEREAFTER.

In the event of emergencies or problems during the two week trial period, Merri Mahoney MUST be contacted immediately at (860) 345-2456.

Adopter agrees that the above mentioned animal is being adopted as a pet for myself and/or my immediate family. I agree that I will take good care of the animal and protect it from abuse, and neglect. I further agree that I will not sell, give away or abandon said animal to any dealer, retailer, auction, institute or any other entity. I further understand that CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. has the right, during the lifetime of the dog, to check on the health and well being of the animal, and has the right to seize said animal CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. considers to be neglected or abused.

I hereby agree that any default of these conditions by myself will immediately void all rights and interests I have gained in the animal and that I will turn it back over to CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCE, INC.. Should CONNECTICUT LABRADOR RESCUE, INC. have to initiate any action, legal or otherwise, to regain such animal, I agree to identify and reimburse said Rescue for all attorney's fees and witness expenses including travel, loss of pay involved therein, and other any requisite expenses.
